I searched high and low for a song that my dad and I could dance to without feeling cheesy or incestuous. No "fathers be good to your daughters..." That's just not us. Every Top 10 list was either that, or something like "The Way You Look Tonight." If you listen to the lyrics of most of these songs they weren't written from the perspective of a father. So no matter how you try to twist it, it's still creepy...to me. Growing up, we took tons of roadtrips as an entire family. The soundtrack for those trips were oldies and the Beatles. "All You Need is Love" by Lennon seemed like the perfect choice. It's a simple song with a clear message that can't really be misinterpreted. It was a sweet moment to share with my dad and it made me so happy to see him so happy that night.
